The 2017 Soundsurfer Waterman's Challenge is one of the Northeast's largest stand up paddle event with races, lots of family fun and great food and music!
Our goal is not to be the greatest and biggest paddle RACE- in fact the racing part is secondary. Its about getting out on the water and having a blast!
Haven't paddled much? Great! Never done it before? Even Better!
Yes, we have races, and yes, some of the country's top paddlers come out for the event. But really, our focus is on the sport itself- Stand Up Paddling- and for the first time this year, we will have other types of paddlers- kayaks, outriggers and surf skis are welcome as well!
The ultimate goal is to support children and the environment while having a great day out on the water!
THE DAY'S EVENTS:
- PADDLE BOARD INSTRUCTION AND DEMOS- ALL DAY- on land and on water
- DJ
- GREAT FOOD!
AND 3 RACES FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS:
- 6 Mile Elite Race
- 3 Mile Open Race
- 3 Mile Recreational Race
- 1 Mile kids Race
- Sprint race to determine Elite Champions!
PFD and leashes are required, per coast guard rules.
